If you need some motivation this summer, my previous blog gives 3 fun ways to find motivation when the days are lovely and you’re distracted by fun. In this blog, I’m sharing 3 more ways to find summer motivation when the days are long and the sun is shining.
Work to your favorite music
This isn’t just turning on the radio or finding a playlist and hitting shuffle. This is deliberately putting on your favorite artist, music, or songs and jamming to your tunes. Why is this so key? Your favorite music will help you to focus on your tasks while also making your work fun and enjoyable. It will put you in a good mood and that’s exactly where you want to be to get work done.Do it early
If you wake up early enough, get your work done at the start of your day. That way you’ll have all the time you need to do the things you want. Not only is the day cooler in the early morning, but you’ll get your small tasks finished in a timely manner. By the time the family is ready to go, you’ll be ready to go too.Set a timer
Do you usually work best with a deadline? Setting a timer might be just the thing you need to get motivated. The activity usually expands to fit the time allowed. Without a time limit, it may take you all day to write your resume. Set a timer for forty-five minutes and get to work! You will be amazed at what you can get done when the clock is ticking.
Follow these simple ways to stay motivated during the warmer months and you’ll soon find your work will get done, your mood will remain bright, and you’ll still be able to enjoy all your summer fun.
